4. Soft Credit Searches & Third-Party Data Sharing

We will disclose personal data to our partner Valid8 IP Ltd for the purpose of facilitating a motor finance claim. Valid8 IP Ltd will carry out a check with Equifax Ltd, the named Credit Reference Agency (CRA), to access your credit report data and locate your car finance agreements. 5. Legal Basis for Processing

  • Valid8 IP Ltd — to carry out a check with a Credit Reference Agency to access your credit report data for the purpose of facilitating a motor finance claim. This leaves only a soft footprint with no impact on your credit score
  • Equifax Ltd — the named Credit Reference Agency (CRA) relating to credit report data, accessed via Valid8 IP Ltd
  • Panel solicitors and law firms — to review and manage your claim
  • Lenders and financial institutions — as necessary to progress your claim
  • Regulatory bodies — where required by law, such as the FCA, ICO, or FOS

We will retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Typically, we retain claim-related data for a period of 6 years after the conclusion of your claim.
